NEW EQUIPMENT

Working together to build the film community in Buffalo.

When the Buffalo Fire Department repair shop needed more space, we took the call. Up on the second floor sat a time capsule of a wood shop—packed with vintage milling machines that have stories to tell. The real puzzle? Figuring out how to get these massive pieces out safely. Enter the pros: we hired a heavy equipment mover who carefully lifted and lowered each machine down to the main floor. From there, they made their way to our shop for their next chapter. These weren’t plug-and-play pieces—many needed some serious TLC. We tracked down skilled local craftspeople to machine new parts, brought the surfaces back to life, and put in the hours to get several up and running again—just in time for our next film build.

Huge thanks to the Buffalo Fire Department for supporting the Western NY film community and trusting us with a piece of their history.
